Hide Cash Bundles Beneath Their Luxury Mattress

It seems the bank’s current ppi scandal has packed the country with mis-trust as more and more persons are hiding their hard-earned cash beneath their divan bed base.

Some people across the world including America and the UK are trying to keep their cash under their mattresses in reply to savings account interest levels reducing and the bank’s mis-selling payment protection insurance policies to thousands and thousands.

Countless home-owners are keeping the majority of their throw away monies at home underneath a luxury mattress and as many as 28 million in the US alone are doing so. According to a report in 2009, Americans are forgoing traditional financial institutions as a result of mistrust, cultural and language boundaries or a belief there will probably be nothing left after bills are paid dues to taxes.

Bank accounts and private credit information is said to not be secure enough even though leaving behind countless pounds in ready money abandoned in a house doesn’t seem safe either. Perhaps it has something related to the truth that hackers acquired access to data on as many as 200,000 credit card accounts in the USA.

The continental mattress was once viewed as an unsafe place to hide cash, as technically the only security it’s possible to set up is a lock on the front door and windows and the security alarm. But even though the money doesn’t earn anything or make any income, it is a better and safer place to not lose anything at all reports suggest.
